Created by the Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario, LDAO strives to provide students with "the right to learn, and the power to succeed". The website includes many experiences with learning disabilities, informed case studies, and tons of resources for teachers to look and apply to their classrooms. Taking advantage of the digital opportunities, this website also includes webinars, podcasts, blogs, and many other personal resources. They also use this website to post updates and information about their Educator's Institute conference.
Resource Guide for Students With Disabilities |

|
A great website that is intended to focus on the needs of the student rather than the teacher. This website allows students with disabilities to visit it and learn what they need to do in order to pursue a path into post-secondary education, and what institution they may want to apply to. They have links to the different institutions, including colleges and universities of Ontario. Students may click on a university/college and there will answers to questions and a brief overview of the institution, and more importantly, the special services available to meet the personal needs of the student. This website makes it quite easy for a student to see what they need in their education to succeed.
Teacher's Gateway to Special Education |

Also a great website to figure out the teaching strategies that work best for teachers and their students, Teacher's Gateway to Special Education takes advantages of the connections of the world wide web in a different manner. Although they do provide many resources with strategies that teachers can incorporate into their lesson plans, they also allow other teachers to share the strategies by posting links of their favourite resources that they use, or techniques that they developed themselves. This allows for our knowledge and understanding of Special Education to expand, and we can look at many different perspectives.
